Welcome to Creative Circles
Welcome to Creative Circles, this is our blog page where we will share stories, clips and comments about what’s happening in the world of Visual Arts, Literary Arts, Music and Performance Arts. At Dazzling Spark we are inspired by a vision of the oneness of humankind, and a belief in the power of art in all its forms to transform and inspire positive change. Each week we will introduce new artists selected for our gallery, and also highlight our favourite videos, songs and performances from the web, together with interviews, reviews and retrospectives. Our goal is to help recognise special talents, encourage and support, build capacity and create new opportunities for networking, collaboration and promotion.
Our platform will host a Directory of accomplished and emerging artists from Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia who share our vision. Check it out for sample listings. We are just getting started so if you are would like to join one of our creative circles follow the links and, if accepted, our team of writers will work with you in developing your profile. This week we give you a taste of our global perspective. Meet Adam Varjavandi , a unique performer of an ancient art from Xian, China and fiction writer Gaellen Quinn delving into the forgotten histories of indigenous peoples from Hawaii to the Amazon.
Our first Featured Artist is award winning painter, Rob Hain, whose work may be found in galleries and homes in many countries. Rob has illustrated several books, and our home page shows a detail from the beautiful Nightingale Books edition of The Seven Valleys by Baha’u’llah. I have known Rob from his early days as a struggling artist with a young family and it is great to see him get the recognition his talent deserves. Rob will be presenting some of his work at our very first Arts Retreat which will be held in Edinburgh to mark the centenary of the visit of Abdu’l-Baha (28 Dec -2 January) This also marks the launch of the Dazzling Spark Arts Foundation and I am really looking forward to the welcome reception. We have a few surprises in store but more about that later.
Mean while to get you in the mood for our Celtic connection check out this great music from young violinist Noel Grainger.
